Lauren Vowell RDH OMT

Lauren Vowell is a native Houstonian who is Texan through and through. She graduated from Wharton Junior College Dental Hygiene School and has over 22 years of clinical experience in the dental field as a dental hygienist, two years of specialized airway training in a Houston Holistic/Airway focused dental office and has over 40 hours in certified training in Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy with the IAOM: https://www.iaom.com/

After working in an airway centered dental office, Lauren discovered her passion for helping people find the root cause for clenching, grinding, TMJ pain, sleep disturbances and other unexplained dental and health issues that traditional dentistry and medicine usually failed to address. After learning more about orofacial myofunctional disorders - OMDs, she discovered why her youngest daughter Hazel was still thumb sucking and mouth breathing as well as her own sleep disordered breathing issues and has never looked back!

 Lauren loves helping patients understand how to improve their breathing, sleeping, facial symmetry, tmj pain, neck tension and gag reflexes all by improving where that little muscle called the tongue is postured in your mouth. She will take a complete health history to help you identify and improve any compensations and/or restrictions that have developed over time. She works with a network of highly trained doctors who all have the same airway passion and want you breathing and functioning at your best. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her three teenage children. She is an avid rock climber, experienced vocalist, and currently resides in Richmond, TX.
